An Import Permit from the Kingdom of Bahrain is required prior to shipment, and if you are shipping your pet through Fetchapet then we can assist you with obtaining the Import Permit through our agents in Bahrain.

Pet dogs and cats must be microchipped and have the microchip number recorded on all veterinary certificates. Microchipping must be undertaken before the required vaccinations are given to enable the Official Veterinarian (OV) or Local Veterinary Inspector (LVI) of DEFRA to identify the animal when completing any paperwork.

Dogs and cats must have been vaccinated against rabies with the latest vaccination being undertaken at least 30 days and no more than 6 months prior to the date of travel.

Dogs must have been vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvovirus (DHLP), at least 30 days but not more than 6 months prior to the date of travel.

Cats must be vaccinated against feline infectious rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus and feline enteritis – (also called Feline panleucopenia) and usually sold as part of combined vaccine known as RCP or more commonly as cat flu and feline enteritis, at least 30 days but not more than 6 months prior to export.

Dogs and cats must have a DEFRA Export Health Certificate issued by an Official Veterinarian (OV) or Local Veterinary Inspector (LVI) of DEFRA not more than 48 hours prior to shipment. Most practices have at least one OV (LVI) working in the practice.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi - UAE

All pets must be at least 4 months of age before being granted entry into UAE.

An Import Permit is required prior to shipment, and if you are shipping your pet through Fetchapet then we can assist you by putting you in contact with one of our network of worldwide agents in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi who will apply for the permit on your behalf and can also assist with clearing your pet through customs on arrival.

Pet dogs and cats must be microchipped and have the microchip number recorded on all veterinary certificates. Microchipping must be undertaken before the required vaccinations are given to enable the Official Veterinarian (OV) or Local Veterinary Inspector (LVI) of DEFRA to identify the animal when completing any paperwork.

For dogs a copy of a current vaccination certificate showing rabies, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, and parvovirus (R & DHLP) is required.

For cats a current vaccination certificate showing rabies, cat flu and enteritis (R & RCP) is required.

All vaccinations must be undertaken at least 21 days and not more than 12 months prior to entry into UAE.

A maximum of 2 pets per owner are allowed entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Microchipping must be undertaken before the required vaccinations are given to enable the Official Veterinarian (OV) or Local Veterinary Inspector (LVI) of DEFRA to identify the animal when completing any paperwork.

A rabies vaccination is required for dogs and cats at least 30 days and not more than 6 months prior to export.

An Import Permit is required prior to shipment, and if you are shipping your pet through Fetchapet then we can assist you by obtaining the Import Permit through the Veterinary practices in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah.

All documents must be legalized by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and also by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London prior to shipment. We have an account with the FCO and so are able to attend to this on your behalf. An import permit is also required prior to shipment and this is often (but not always, so please check with the office for more details) only obtained once the legalized documents are forwarded to an agent in KSA.

Dogs must be imported as guard/watch dogs to protect their owner's property and some breeds are banned so please check the list with the Fetchapet office.

An Import Permit from Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources in Kuwait is required prior to shipment.

Dogs and cats must have a DEFRA Export Health Certificate required issued by an Official Veterinarian (OV) or Local Veterinary Inspector (LVI) of DEFRA not more than 48 hours prior to shipment. Most practices have at least one OV working in the practice.

Dogs and cats must be over 4 months of age at the time of travel and must be vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days and not more than 11 months prior to the date of export.

Dogs must be vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvovirus (DHLP) and it is strongly recommended that cats are vaccinated against cat flu and feline enteritis (RCP) at least 30 days and not more than 11 months prior to the date of shipment.
