Pet Travel Canada – Pet Transport to Canada from UK
Are you looking for a pet travel company that can fly your pet from the UK to Canada safely and comfortably? Let us handle it!
Fetchapet offer a cat and dog export service to all major Canadian airports.
Collection of your pet is available from your home or breeders address anywhere in England, Scotland or Wales, or you may deliver to our premises, or be met at Heathrow airport by one of our representatives
Pet dogs and cats must be microchipped and have the microchip number recorded on all veterinary certificates. Microchipping must be undertaken before the required vaccinations are given to enable your Veterinary Surgeon to identify the animal when completing any paperwork.
A rabies vaccination should be given and must still be valid at the time of export. However, dogs under 3 months of age can still travel to Canada without having a rabies vaccination. Certain rules apply to this type of shipment so please contact the office for further information.
Also required is a veterinary certificate of health issued no more than 5 days prior to shipment. If the rabies vaccination has been given, then this can be a fit to fly certificate that can be issued on the Vet practice headed paper giving the identification and vaccination against rabies details and signed by your usual veterinary surgeon. If no vaccination has been given, then the dog or cat must travel on a DEFRA Export Certificate signed within 5 days of export by an OV (Official Veterinarian) or LVI (Local Veterinary Inspector) of DEFRA. Rabies vaccinations must then be given on arrival in Canada.
Please note that Canada is not a rabies free country and we strongly recommend that owners comply with the rabies requirements and vaccinate their pets at least 30 days prior to export to provide the maximum protection possible immediately on arrival in your new home.
IATA compliant and airline approved air travel kennels are manufactured in our own workshops and each kennel is tailor made to suit your pet’s measurements which ensures maximum safety and comfort during the journey.
