We Ship Cats Across Canada
We are able to export cats to all major airports in Canada, including: Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport, Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, Edmonton International Airport, Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, Calgary International Airport, Vancouver International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport and more.
All cats have to be microchipped when flying in to Canada, and all veterinary certificates will need to include the microchip number.
This will need to happen before your cat receives the vaccines, so that your Veterinary Surgeon can identify it when filling out the paperwork.
Your cat will also need a rabies vaccination at least 30 days before the export, and it needs to be valid at the time of the export.
If your cat is under three months old, it is able to travel to Canada without a rabies vaccination. This type of cat export is subject to specific rules, so please do contact us for more info.
A veterinary certificate of health issued no more than 5 days before the shipment is also required for cats. If the rabies vaccination has been administered, this can be a fit to fly certificate which can be issued on the Vet practice headed paper giving the identification and vaccination against rabies details and signed by your usual veterinary surgeon.
If no vaccination has been administered, the cat will need to travel on a DEFRA Export Certificate signed within 5 days of export by an Official Veterinarian or a Local Veterinary Inspector of DEFRA. Rabies vaccinations will then need to be administered upon entry into Canada.
Canada isn’t a rabies-free country, and so we strongly advise owners to comply with rabies requirements and vaccinate their cat at least 30 days prior to export in order to provide the best protection possible upon arrival.
