Taking Dogs To Canada » Fly Your Dog to Canada from UK
Looking for a pet travel company that can fly your dog from the UK to Canada safely and comfortably? We can handle it!
We are experts at flying dogs to Canada. With over 30 years’ experience in international pet exports, we are able to fly your dog in safe and comfortable IATA compliant pet travel crates to all major Canadian airports.
Our dog export specialists can arrange for collection of your dog(s) from your home anywhere in England, Scotland or Wales. Alternatively, you can deliver to our premises, or one of our representatives can meet you at the airport.
We Ship Dogs Across Canada
We are able to export dogs to all major airports in Canada, including: Toronto Pearson International Airport, Vancouver International Airport, Calgary International Airport, Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, Edmonton International Airport, Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport, Halifax Stanfield International Airport and more.
All dogs need to be microchipped when flying to Canada, and all veterinary certificates need to include the microchip number. This needs to happen before your dog receives the necessary vaccines so that your Veterinary Surgeon can identify it when filling out any paperwork.
A rabies vaccination will need to be administered at least 30 days before the export, and needs to be valid at the time of the export. If your dog is under the age of three months, it can still travel to Canada without a rabies vaccination. This type of export is subject to specific rules, so please contact us for more information.
A veterinary certificate of health issued no more than 5 days prior to shipment is also required. If the rabies vaccination has been administered, this can be a fit to fly certificate which can be issued on the Vet practice headed paper giving the identification and vaccination against rabies details and signed by your usual veterinary surgeon.
If no vaccination has been administered, the dog must travel on a DEFRA Export Certificate signed within 5 days of export by an Official Veterinarian or a Local Veterinary Inspector of DEFRA. Rabies vaccinations must then be administered upon entry into Canada.
Please keep in mind that Canada is not a rabies-free country. We strongly advise owners to comply with rabies requirements and vaccinate their pets at least 30 days prior to export in order to provide the best protection possible upon arrival in your new home.
